*(01:47:54)* *Simon: *I’m having trouble changing the whois information for spynorsk.net. You are asking me if I » accept to pay the change of ownership fee amount of 125.00 NOK», but I’ve already payed when I transfered the account. The whois information was supposed to be updated back then, but it is still wrong.
*(01:47:55)* *Customer service: *Thank you for your message, please hold on.
*(01:48:31)* **** R. joined the chat ****
*(01:48:34)* *R.: *Thank you for using One.com 24/7 Interactive Online Support. My name is R..
*(01:55:56)* *Simon: *Are you still there?
*(01:57:22)* *R.: *Hi there!
*(01:57:24)* *R.: *Yes, I am.
*(01:57:27)* *R.: *Please hold on while I check.
*(01:57:56)* *R.: *So, the domain spynorsk.net. was a transferred domain here at one.com
*(01:57:58)* *R.: *There are 2 things
*(01:58:11)* *R.: *The webspace which is same as the hosting is under your name
*(01:58:27)* *R.: *But when you transferred the domain here at one.com it will keep the same original owner of the domain
*(01:58:51)* *R.: *The domain owner – If you want to be the domain owner, you need to process change of ownership
*(01:59:34)* *Simon: *But that can’t be right. The whois was correct at my old host, but the owner details was changed when I transfered to one.com.
*(01:59:58)* *Simon: *That name, B*** or something, I have no idea where that came from.
*(02:00:10)* *Simon: *It happened after the transfer.
*(02:00:34)* *Simon: *Or during.
*(02:01:13)* *R.: *I don’t think so.
*(02:01:47)* *R.: *The domain was transferred here at one.com on Nov 27, 2016
*(02:02:11)* *R.: *Since then, no changes made on the domain owner
*(02:02:35)* *Simon: *I’ve had this domain for ages. It has always been registered on my name and address. It suddenly became registered with that B*** name after I transfered to one.com from Golarge.no.
*(02:03:02)* *R.: *Was it originally owned by B*** ?
*(02:03:09)* *Simon: *No.
*(02:03:31)* *Simon: *I don’t know who that is. But I think the address is Golarge.no physical address.
*(02:04:09)* *Simon: *I think you somehow registered it on the registrar name, not my name, during the transfer.
*(02:04:14)* *R.: *GO LARGE HOSTING
*(02:04:58)* *R.: *I have no tool to check from my end, you may instead send email to sales@one.com and attach proof like invoice from the old hosting provider showing that you own this domain
*(02:06:39)* *Simon: *OK, I’ll try to look. Most likely not something I still have, but thank you for the suggestion.
*(02:06:54)* *R.: *All right.
*(02:07:00)* **** Simon left the chat ****

E-posten sendte eg 5. april kl. 14:35:

Hi!
Please see chat transcript below regarding ownership of the domain name Spynorsk.net.

I do not accept the charges to change ownership to me, since I have owned the domain for over ten years. I think the current ownership detail is a mistake One.com made when I transfered the domain to you.

Enclosed are two invoices: one from when I first bought the domain and hosted it with Domeneshop.no back in 2007, and one with my current address from when I hosted it with GoLarge.no in 2016 before I transfered it to One.com.

I hope you could help me sort this out.

Thanks,
Simon Hansen

Hi There!

Thank you for contacting One.com!

Upon checking, I cannot replicate the whois data that you are talking pertaining to a different name listed on whois for your domain. Based on the updated whois check, the domain is set to privacy and it is under your name. Can you please provide us steps on how to replicate this or a whois site that is displaying the incorrect data?.

Should you have more questions, feel free to contact us. Have a nice day!

Irritert skreiv eg ein ny e-post, sendt 6. april kl. 14:50:

I know that it is not available for the outside world since I have activated Domain Privacy. But when if i go to One.com > log in > spynorsk.net > Domain Pricacy, I find the incorrect owner details. Please see attached screenshot.

I don’t understand where you got this information, but I am the owner of this domain name, and have been since 2007. If you see the invoice from GoLarge in 2016, you’ll find that it was sent to my name and address, which should correspond with the customer details you have on file.

Practically it has no affect. The only reason I am trying to correct this information now, is that I got an automated e-mail from you a few days ago. It was sent from registrar-robot@one.com, and addressed to this «B***» person who I assume is someone working at my old host GoLarge.no. In your mail, you are asking me if the following information is correct:

Registrant:
Organisation: GO LARGE HOSTING
Name: B***
Address: ***
City: STAVANGER
Country: no
Postal Code: 4007
Phone: +47.5***
Fax: +47.5***
Email: S***@GMAIL.COM

The only thing correct is my email address.

You also stated in this message that if something is incorrect, if could be a breach of contract and cause for termination.

I don’t plan on losing a domain name I’ve had for over ten years just because of a mistake you’ve made. But I also don’t plan on paying a fee to you so that you will fix your mistake.

Eg fekk eit svært uhjelpsamt svar tilbake 7. april kl. 00:12:

Hi there,

It seems that this is already the domain owner information you have when you transferred the domain here. When a domain is transferred here in One.com, it will retain the domain owner it has during the transfer. Even if you used a different information when you register the account here, it will not automatically apply for the domain.

Unfortunately, the owner change fee must be paid if you wish to change the information to the correct ones.

7. april kl. 01:04 skreiv eg:

That is not acceptable. The error is made by you. I should not have to pay for an error you have made.

Svaret kom 7. april kl. 06:27:

Hi Simon,

Please be informed that it is definitely not an error on one.com.

As mentioned on our previous email, the domain ownership will remain same after you transfer it from one host to another. It is also the owner that supplies the details of the subscription.

The said details are supplied when you create the transfer order with one.com. Since it is a transfer, whatever details you provided on the order with us will only reflect on webspace ownership.

Should you have further queries, please don’t hesitate to reply to this e-mail. Furthermore, you can connect to our 24/7 live chat on our website by clicking «chat with us».

Have a wonderful weekend.

One.com

Eg var så sint at eg rista då eg las det. Heilt sprekkferdig slengte eg dette tilbake 7 april kl. 11:16:

This is absolutely not an acceptable answer! The information was correct back at my old host, GoLarge.no. And it was correct at my previous host before that. But it is not correct here at One.com. I had not even heard of this «B***» person before you sent the name to me. The error is DEFINITELY made by One.com!

First you register incorrect owner details. Then you threathen me by saying you will terminate my contract if the information is incorrect. And then you are
trying to force me to pay a fee to have the details corrected?!

Frankly, I’m VERY displeased by your service right now! Between this, the dropouts and slow response time last night, and the FOUR DAY LONG DOWNTIME last week.

  1. Fekk akkurat dette HÅNLEGE svaret:

    Hi there,

Maybe it is time to ask your previous provider why the domain registrant information has been set previously to this, instead of your own owner information. As we only use the domain owner details that’s available in whois, during the time of transfer.

    Best regards

    One.com

    Fly forbanna no!

  2. Eg skreiv tilbake:

Are you serious?! This is absolutely the WORST customer service I’ve ever experienced!

    Nytt svar frå dei:

No er eg så sint at det er like før knytneven fer gjennom skjermen. Eg svarar:

Why should I have to ask my old host to provide anything?! This is your mistake. If you need to ask GoLarge anything, you can do it yourself.

I have sent you two invoices as proof of ownership, the most recent from 2016. I’m attaching 2015 and 2014 as well. How many more do you need?

    Sort this out! Now!

Og det tek all mi makt for ikkje å bruke banneord og personåtak no…

  3. Endå eit hånleg svar frå One.com:

    Hello there,

We understand your frustrations in this situation. However, please do understand, that domain was never registered to us in the first place.

It was registered as transferred domain. As what mentioned many times, the details registered in your domain remains the same and was not updated unless you request an update, or you have checked it with your previous registrar before you have transferred your domain to us.

If you don’t wish to contact them, then the only way we can update your details is to submit a form provided in the previous messages.

If you require any further assistance, please feel free to contact us again. We’re here 24/7 to assist you.

    One.com

    Eg svarar:

As I have stated several time, the domain has always been registered with my details — until I transfered it to One.com. I did fill out a transfer form when I became your customer back in 2016. And I filled it with MY details. Please fix this. Now!

  4. Nytt svar frå dei:

    Hello there,

Thank you for getting back to us.

Understand that we are trying to help you here by giving you steps to take. Those screenshots you provided is addressed to you because subscription is always addressed to webspace owner and not domain owner.

    Eg svarar:

If you are just going to repeat yourself, then I’ll do the same: FIX! THIS! NOW!

Eg maktar ikkje meir krangling no. Eg seier opp Spynorsk.net.
